In case of urgency, do not hesitate to speak with someone from the organization!
MiniDebConf Campinas 2026 is committed to providing a safe environment for all participants.
All participants must treat people and facilities with respect and help create a welcoming environment. If you notice behavior that does not meet this standard, please report it and help keep MiniDebConf Campinas 2026 as respectful as we expect it to be.
If you are harassed and requests to stop have not been successful, or if you observe a disrespectful environment, the organizers can help. Please contact us at antiassedio@debianbrasil.org.br. We will handle your request with dignity and confidentiality, investigate, and take appropriate action. We can provide information about security, emergency services, transportation, alternative accommodation, or any other action that may be necessary. If mediation is not successful, MiniDebConf Campinas 2026 reserves the right to take action against people who do not cease unacceptable behavior.
MiniDebConf Campinas 2026 Code of Conduct
MiniDebConf Campinas 2026, as part of the Debian community, assumes good faith from everyone who wishes to improve Debian. However, experiences at other events have shown the need to adopt a Code of Conduct where we state what we expect from all participants and organizers during MiniDebConf Campinas 2026.
This Code of Conduct applies to all participants of MiniDebConf Campinas 2026, in addition to the Debian Code of Conduct which applies to the Debian community as a whole.
See the Code of Conduct on Debian’s official website.
Debian Diversity Statement
The Debian Project welcomes and encourages participation from everyone.
It does not matter how you identify or how others perceive you: you are welcome. We welcome contributions from everyone, as long as they interact constructively with our community.
Although much of our project’s work is technical in nature, we value and encourage contributions from people with experience in other areas, and we welcome them into our community.
See the Diversity Statement on Debian’s official website.
Be excellent to each other
MiniDebConf Campinas 2026 is committed to the ideals expressed in our Debian Diversity Statement and the Debian Code of Conduct. We ask all our members, speakers, volunteers, participants, and guests to embrace these principles. We are a diverse community. Sometimes this means we must work even harder to ensure we are creating an environment of trust and respect, where all participants feel comfortable and included.
We value your participation and appreciate your help in achieving this goal.
Be respectful
Respect yourself and others. Be courteous to those around you. If someone indicates they do not want to be photographed, respect that. If someone indicates they would like to be left alone, let them be. Our event spaces and online spaces may be shared with the general public; please be considerate of all participants in these spaces, even if they are not attending the event.
Be inclusive
By default, all presentation material must be appropriate for people aged 12 and older.
If you reasonably believe that someone may find your talk offensive, please explicitly state this in the talk description at submission time. This will be considered by the content team. If you are unsure whether this applies to you, contact the content team at contato@debianbrasil.org.br. Please note that you are solely responsible if something is considered inappropriate and you did not contact the content team in advance.
Be mindful
We ask everyone to be mindful that we will not tolerate intimidation, harassment, or any abusive, discriminatory, or derogatory behavior by anyone at any Debian event or in related online media.
Reports can be made to the organizers by contacting the registration desk or sending an email to antiassedio@debianbrasil.org.br. All reports made to the event organizers will remain confidential and will be taken seriously. Reports will be handled appropriately and discreetly.
When appropriate, the event organizers or moderators may take the following actions:
- The person may be asked to apologize;
- The person may be told to stop or change their behavior to something appropriate;
- The person may be warned that actions will be taken if the behavior continues;
- The person may be asked to leave immediately and/or be banned from further participation;
- The incident may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
