About MiniDebConf Campinas 2026

MiniDebConfs are national gatherings organized by participants of the Debian Project. Similar to the DebConfs - the project’s international conferences- MiniDebConfs promote face-to-face interaction, video production and online streaming, and create time and space to contribute to Debian. Throughout the whole year, MiniDebConfs are held around the world, in order to motivate both new and local veterans contributors.

From April 19 to 25, 2026, Campinas will host its MiniDebConf. There will be talks, workshops, sprints, bug-squashing parties, and social events.

MiniDebConf Campinas 2026 is an event open to everyone, regardless of their level of knowledge about the Debian Project. We expect to welcome everyone from inexperienced users just starting their journey with Debian to official project developers. In other words, all are invited. What matters most is bringing the community together to celebrate the largest free software project in the world!

This will be the seventh time a MiniDebConf takes place in Brazil.
